## Main Purpose of Job
The Center for HIV Prevention and Health Services is the service unit of the Prevention and Health Promotion Administration, using State and Federal funding to provide essential programs and services for people affected by HIV disease. The Maryland AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (MADAP) and MADAP-Plus programs provides access to medications for eligible people living with HIVB/AIDS. The MADAP Client Services Insurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring accessibility to the program through insurance verification and in compliance with state and federal regulations, and compliance with MADAP's policies and procedures. This position provides primary support to the MADAP and MADAP-Plus programs.
**Education:** Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
**Experience:** Two years of clerical experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or State entitlement program.
**Notes:** 1. Additional general clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. College credits from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at the rate of 30 credit hours for one year of experience.

* Experience with HIV services is desirable.
