The successful candidate will be an individual who meets the contractual requirements for a Cyberspace Policy Analyst II and has the requisite skills and abilities to: o Analyze current DoD cybersecurity policies, processes, capabilities, authorities, architectures for applicability to USCYBERCOM C4/IT systems, cybersecurity processes, and CIO responsibilities o Provide technical expertise on executive-level projects, analyzes, assesses, and develops future strategies, policies, and doctrines governing cyberspace operations o Provide recommendations for improvement on proposed policies and strategies o Maintain awareness of and reports significant cyber-related policy issues affecting the DOD and USCYBERCOM o Participate on enterprise level and inter-agency boards, panels and working groups which serve as the forums in which DoD C4/IT program policy directives are negotiated and defined o Facilitate in-house SME assessment of proposed policy directives and other agreements o Conduct research of the complex issues planned for discussion, and defines proposed Command positions o Plan and prepare for substantive interactions with researchers and policy makers and provides background support and current status of activities for documents and presentations o Support interagency and coalition policy formulations on cyberspace issues, ensuring authorities, concerns, and equities are accurately represented o Analyze and provide expert assessments to leadership of the likely effects of approved policy directives o Apply expert knowledge of the program and policy landscape to make substantive contributions to the development of executive-level briefings, congressional responses and other highly-sensitive communications of enterprise-level program intent o Review higher level policy and assist in the assessment and refinement of USCYBERCOM CIO and cybersecurity policies IAW higher level policy o Assess gaps in existing USCYBERCOM policy and propose amendments to existing policy or propose recommendations to address any gaps


Required Qualifications (this criteria will not be waived): o Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Cyberspace Policy Analyst or related functional area o Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills. o Strong analytical and problem solving skills o Candidates for this position must possess a valid Top Secret security clearance with an in scope SSBI and candidates must have successfully completed a CI polygraph within the past seven years. Desired Qualifications: o Strong understanding of Joint Staff policies and procedures process o Knowledge of DoD Cyber Strategy and USCYBERCOM Mission o Prior experience working in a Joint military organizational structure (J1, J2, J3, etc.) o Understanding of working with classified materials, classification markings, and use of organizational classification guides
