## Main Purpose of Job
The Office of Health Care Quality(OHCQ) is the agency within the Maryland Department of Health charged with monitoring the quality of care in Maryland's health facilities and community- Based programs. OHCQ issues licenses, authorizing the operation of a business in Maryland; recommends certification, authorizing participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs; conducts surveys to determine compliance with State and Federal regulations, which set minimum standards for the delivery of care; and educates providers, consumers, and stakeholders.
The main purpose of this position is to direct and coordinate personnel,fiscal, administrative, and information technology activities for OHCQ. The responsibilities include oversees all human resources functions; manages fiscal operations through the chief fiscal officer; ensures federal claims are proposed timely and accurately; coordinates and responds to external and internals audits; ensures internal polices and procedures are in place; prepares and executes emergency preparedness plans, oversee the process of destruction and archiving of records; ensure that network operations; system maintenance; end-user training; information security; and IT emergency planning meet the needs of the agency.
## MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a bachelor's degree and six years of administrative or professional experience, three years of which must have been at a supervisory or management level. A master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience. A doctorate will substitute for two years general experience. Additional experience will substitute year-for-year for the college degree.

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
